Melniconnector used in Watering Fields

Agriculture is arguably the most vital industry to humankind, employing approximately 42% of the world’s laborers.  Agricultural products not only sustain the livelihoods of billions of people, but also assist with economic growth around the world.  In the United States there are over 2 million farms spanning across 914 million acres, and according to the USDA, in 2012 alone generated almost $400 billion worth of products.

Melni Connectors sees the importance of the agriculture industry and understands that time is of the essence when irrigation equipment is not working properly and needs to be fixed.  Commonly if there is an electrical problem with an irrigation pivot; it’s due to a fault in the wire.  These faults typically happen underground, and once located the electrician must dig a hole big enough to accommodate his tools.  Traditional methods for fixing this break can take hours, all the while the farmers crops are not getting water.

The Melni line of agricultural connectors enables electricians to quickly and easily splice  underground wires.  Crimping tools are not required, thus allowing the electrician to work in smaller spaces (doesn’t need to dig a large hole).  Furthermore, Melni connectors are environmentally sealed, eliminating the need for a heat shrink or splice kits.

Melni Connectors has proudly partnered with Irrigation Components International to bring you our new line of agricultural connectors.  These butt splice connectors were built specifically to withstand extreme temperatures changes in moist conditions and are the perfect solution for fixing electrical problems in the field.
